Whoa! That was amazing! It was difficult to watch the little baby water buffalo get pulled between the croc and lions, though. I hope the baby wasn't wounded too badly... I know it's the natural way of things, but it's still always difficult for me to watch animals in pain, even in their natural environment... I did like when the lion jumped up and twisted in the air though--just like a domestic cat!

I have a hard time watching stuff like this too. I know lions have to eat, but :'(
I seriously almost stopped this video midway because I didn't think I could watch it. I'm so glad I saw the end though! That was uplifting to see the whole buffalo community working together for the little one!

I emailed a link of the video to a friend, who refused to watch it - even after I told her that all animals survived. (I teased and laughed at her accordingly.) ;D

yeah, i know most of us here are sensitive about animals here, so I was hesitant to put it here, but also Im sure most of us understand thats how the world works
plus I thought the video was just too rad to pass up sharing

It took a couple of tries to watch the video. 1. Because it was 8 minutes, started slowly, and I have a short attention span, and 2. Because I didn't want to see a safari video.
I'm quite happy I finally watched the whole thing, because that was really cool!

Wow, I watched the video feeling sick to my stomach. I always have to turn away in nature shows when a kill happens. Can watch them eat but not kill.
Not sure any of this video had a happy ending. The baby is probably very hurt and will or did die. The lions will get it again or another.
It was amazing to see the water buffalo rescue the baby though.
Nature is both cruel and amazing. Everyone has to eat. So, I hope the baby lived but without food, the lions die. If the baby had enough wounds for severe infection, it will die too. Then it is a no win situation.
Same goes for the crocodile. He has to eat too.
I always think I want to go on an African safari but not sure I could do it. Hard to take pictures through tears.
I am always also amazed how people can take video or pictures and not interfere. I know I would want to save the little water buffalo.
Anyway, that was nature at it's finest regardless of the outcome to all the creatures involved.
Thanks for sharing it!

I wouldn't say that this had a happy ending... I am actually quite sad right now... :'(
The baby water buffalo is probably hurt or dead, and suffered even longer then it would have if the lions just ate it...
The lions went hungry.
The crocodile went hungry.
Some things in nature are sad... I wish that everything in nature consumed a plant based diet... :-\
