annoyed...

I'm trying to "convert" to vegetarian .. and I have looked and looked.. and I cannot find any of these soy burgers or hotdogs or anything.. and I'm annoyed .. lol. I've looked at the local grocery store and at our walmart.. it's just annoying.. like.. am i looking in the wrong places? is there like a special place where this stuff is kept.. lol.. all i've been eating lately is fruit and vegies.. it's hard quiting cold turkey.. so i need like.. some of the "fake meat" haha.. but i can't seem to find it. :(

You should be able to find veggie burgers in regular grocery stores.  Look in the frozen section near microwave dinners.  You could also ask an employee where they shelve boca burgers or gardenburgers...they will be able to find them for you.

well, the frozen patties and stuff are in the freezer section.. sometimes under a flag that says 'meat' on it..  kinda weird.

the deli slices, tubes of veg sausage, & some refrigerated lightlife meals in packets are kept in the produce section.  sometimes near the tofu, sometimes in its own mini section.  i know ive seen soy chorizo & other stuff at a walmart in the produce section on the shelves.

also, i've seen a seperate section of organic morningstar freezer stuff in area with the organic ezekial type breads right by the produce section before... even though they have the original morningstar stuff in the regular freezer area.

pretty much every chain grocery has some stuff, including walmart.. so if you wander around and don't see it, just ask.  things are hidden all over the place.. i've found some great vegan hazelnut truffle chocolate bars in the kosher section.

one last thing - go to http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=24055.0  to see a great review compilation that ac made, so you make sure you don't buy some icky stuff.
