Daylight Savings Poll

Personally, I freaking hate it. It gets darker sooner. It messes up my sleep schedule. It makes me want to eat more. Basically, it just sucks! I've always lived in sunny warm weather climates and really don't see the point in adjusting my schedule. >:( At least now, I have a job that starts early enough that I get off work when it is still somewhat light out so I don't feel like I've had to waste my entire day at work.
I dont get its point. I mean i get what it was meant for. But, seriously? It started getting dark at like 5 or 530. So stupid. I'm so tired due to the darkness, its not even 8pm. Ahhh.
correct me if I'm wrong, but if you've just had a time change, wouldn't that be going back into 'normal' time after having daylight savings over the summer? So, if it's dark early now, that's just the real time and it would be dark at that time whether there had been daylight savings or not?
or have I got it backwards again?
I'm pretty sure we went into daylight savings time in September, so it should work that way..
Anyway, personally, I freakin' love it.
It doesn't really phase me either way--but at the moment it is really useful--I am working on a farm and it was dark as shit before daylight fall back--trust me--it sucks trying to care for animals in the dark.

You're right, oww. We just left Daylight Savings Time. The last few years, they've been extending it much longer than usual. I think that might make the light/dark difference stand out more. Personally, I could do without it.
I love it. That extra hour saved my life. I just like a change. Not so cold when I leave the house at 6am. I like it! Even the spring one I don't mind.
It doesn't bother me too much. I guess the extra hour is good? I don't know that I notice. It's not my favorite that it's dark so early, but it's not a huge deal. Where's the pie?
I love it!!! I wake up earlier now or so it seems and I can actually see when I run in the morning. Plus my honey gets home earlier now ;)
I'm really not trying to be obnoxious or anything, but
Even the spring one I don't mind.
only the spring one is actually daylight savings. Otherwise it's just normal time.

that's just Autumn/Winter - daylight savings has no impact on the number of daylight hours at this time of year for you guys.
so anyone who is hating on daylight savings at the moment actually just doesn't like Winter ; )

I guess I can only speak for myself, but I'm basically just talking about times, and things that happen these times of year.
hehe, yeah, I'm not a fan of it getting dark early in Winter either.
I just felt like sticking up for daylight savings, because it's currently saving me some daylight for when I finish work, and I quite like that : )
Didn't want it to go getting a bad name ; )
No problem oww.
I hate the whole time changing process. Winters don't bother me since I live in a warm climate (by choice). I just prefer not falling back... I like it brighter later into the night.
Europe is always 1 hr ahead of the sun, thanks to some weird decisions in the 70s. And then 2 in the summer.
Put the clocks ahead, or put em back--but LEAVE THEM THERE.
Personally I think that we should go by sun time. But I wish they could just make up their minds and stick with it. I'm tired of faffing around. There are onl 24 hrs per day, no matter what you do. Deal with it.
I wish they would pick one or the other and stick with it, I hate the changing. With a baby, it is even tougher because he has a schedule, and babies HATE having their schedule messed up. So it has been kind of hard on the little guy, getting up at 4AM now instead of his usual 5AM, and he likes dinner and bed time to be 6PM and 7PM on the OLD schedule, but we dont' get home until 6PM on the new schedule, so by the time we get home he is ready for bed, but he is also hungry because he didn't eat at 5 (what used to be 6PM). It just messes him all up, and I am the one who pays the price with a screaming, eye rubbing, hungry baby after a long day at work. NOT FUN! That and I have been sick with something aweful, somekind of intestinal thing. Lets just say, my whole intestinal tract from stomach to colon right now is clean, there is nothing in there.
But I do have to say, I like the extra time in the morning. The sun comes up earlier now, but I hate leaving work and it is already dark, and when I get Mikey it is dark. I hate that.
i love fall back. i wake up at 5am and it's nice not feeling like that is QUITE so early. i also like it when it gets dark earlier because i get sleepy and actually get my sleep in.
i also like gaining the hour of sleep on that night.
i, like oww, have problems with the wording everyone else is using. what we are on right now is normal time and what we have during the summer is daylight savings time. daylight savings time was a relatively recent implement. my grandma said she voted on it when they were contemplating it. i think it's pretty silly, but the summer evenings are nice, i guess.

It does impact the amount of daylight in the evening...before we changed the clocks it was getting dark at 5:30 pm in Maine now it is 4:30...it sucks. I know you get that hour in the morning but lots of people are still sleeping at 6:00 in the morning...It just seems more beneficial in the evening.
I love it! It's so exciting and awesome when daylight saving starts, and then when it ends oh well it's coming into winter which means dark and cold anyway. Who cares? I really do love it when summer evenings get longer though...barbeque and outside party time!
