fantasy Whole Foods shopping trip

I like to pretend I win a $1000 shopping spree to Whole Foods(you can pick your fav store), then I like to think about what I wold buy.

I would get:
all the regular staples, tons of beans, rice, canned tomatoes, garlic
all kinds of spices that are too expensive to usually buy
I would try every fruit and vegetable I had never tried
the most expensive olive oil, instead of the store brand, same with balsamic vinegar
bags of beans, rice, anything in the bulk bins I never try cause I'm not sure what to do with them
different kinds of flour like oat flour, almond flour
hemp milk, just for the hell of it
tomato paste in the tube cause it looks so cool
huge bags of different flavored almonds

ok.....go!

all the different kinds of nut butters, expensive vegan cheeses & meats, white & black truffle oils, dried morel mushrooms, nice flours, spices & extracts, chocolate, wine & all of the nice vegan body & make up stuff...  and id pay them to make some of the layered berry trifle things that they used to carry in their dessert counter!

We don't have a Whole Foods, so I don't normally shop there, but I would want all the different extracts and flours, different vegan chocolates, nut butters, all of the oils, stock up on frozen fruits, pineapple!, fruit spreads, expensive different vegan products that I never get, different sauces, ummmmmmmm.....everything!!!

I've only been to the Whole Foods in La Jolla / San Diego CA... I don't know if other locations have the same beautiful, a-may-zing selection of rockin' items, but I presume they're all pretty similar....  So here goes my list!

BULK

    legumes
lentils (brown/green, blue aka French, split red), great northern or cannelini, black, red kidney, soybeans (LOTS), chickpeas and split peas
raw cashews, raw(ish) almonds (sliced AND whole), pecans, walnuts, pistachios
raw sunflower seeds, raw pepitas (punkin' seeds), flax seeds (TONS, for grinding mostly) any other snacky seeds

    grains

basmati rice, wild and/or brown rice, whole wheat flour, vital wheat gluten, GF flour mix
steel cut oats, rolled oats, pearled barley
quinoa!, a few of those other fun pilaf-and-salad-worthy grains

    yum-yums

dark chocolate-covered ANYthing, like espresso beans, raisins, almonds...
granola-makin's, like dried cranberries and other fruit, chocolate chips...maybe cacao nibs?

    other bulk-dispensed stuff

raw sugar (TONS, I bake a lot) and other alternative dry sweeteners
soy sauce, olive oil, safflower oil...other fun oils (in bulk and elsewhere)
almond butter, cashew butter, peanut butter (for cooking Thai mostly)
Maple syrup, molasses, clover 'honey' and the like
all my staple spices in large quantities (I go through em fast), baking soda, sea salt, LOOSE TEA
and A TON of nutritional yeast

..................I have a buttload of jars, tins, and bags that are just BEGGING to be filled...  ;D

    PRODUCE
...any of that fancy stuff I've been too hesitant or too poor to buy before, like young coconut, fresh mango, etc.
pretty much everything else I can see that looks good there.  ;)b
oh! tons of greens for chopping and freezing... it saves time and lets me make sure I won't let my fresh greens go bad

    GROCERY
More expensive 'milks,' like hemp, almond, and sunflower. I'll try making my own, but I want to try those too.
Tofutti cream cheese, cheese slices, shreds, etc.
other fancy fake cheeses (melty kinds if I can find 'em)
canned stuff for the pantry (aka the "I'm lazy" or "I'm outta food and I'm broke" cabinet) like pasta sauce, tomatoes, pineapple...

    OTHER
a few neat-looking and strong grocery bags
KOMBUCHA by the gallon (I wish)
...Do they sell food processors and/or blenders there? How about solo-cup travel French presses?
aaaaand at least one indulgent vegan dessert item from the deli/bakery

    the end.
    ;)

I would buy soem expensive juices I like such as Goji berry juice and Acai or Noi, which are about $30 a bottle.

I'd try some of the gourmet vegan cheeses, to see if they change my mind that all vegan cheeses suck

stock up on dry and canned goods of all sorts to include dark chocolate bars, as well as stuff like laundry detergent, cleaning supplies

splurge at the olive bar

I'm sure it wouldn't take long for me to spend my money

Hehe, is it sad that I've thought about this before?!?!

I'd get huge jugs of Grade B maple syrup, maple butter, maple sugar (noticing a theme here?)  I'd also get hazelnut, hemp, oat, and rice milk in all the different varities.  Then I'd load up on different oils like walnut, macadamia nut, and a nice olive.  Next I'd stock up on a bunch of different granolas and cereals, lots of dried beans, every kind of flour I could find, every variety of dried fruit, and all the vegan cookies I can find!  Then I'd go to the produce section and buy everything that looks beautiful...probably some golden beets, different colored bell peppers, huge bunches of fresh greens and broccoli, and anything that I've never tried before.  I'd hit up the raw section and get flax crackers, raw cookies and bars, and lots of chocolate!  Plus I'd grab some nori and a few loaves of interesting bread to try.

Ok, I pretty much want the whole store!!

dude.
if I had a penny for every single time I daydreamed about some magical condition that would allow me to roam my co-op (or Whole Foods, farmers markets, etc.) and get whatever I wanted, I'd be able to pay for my last semester of college with no aid whatsoever. Sometimes I fantasize that I can freeze time, so I can cram everything in my backpack and sneak out before anyone noticed me  ::) ...but I'd never do that to my co-op, just large, well-off grocery stores. of course, I'd never do that anyway, but eh....

mmm, I forgot about candles and body-goodies.

whatthehell are these frozen wheat grass thingies You speak of?!? That sounds nifty! *want*
