br posting that technotronic video totally made me think of this..
the stray cats
cyndi lauper
deee-lite..... groove is in the heart is still possibly my favorite song ever.
also..
In high school I did a photography side show on kids and my song that played along with it was Iesha! Great song.
What about Kris Kross ?
i did enjoy some kriss kross (and still do from time to time - thank you xmradio).. it was the go-to song at all the 7th grade dances.
whenever I hear" Come Out and Play" by Offspring or "I'll Make Love to You" by Boyz to Men, I think of the ice skadium in 7th grade.
i remember getting the vanilla ice cassette and reading all the lyrics to my friends cus for some reason theirs didnt have the lyrics in them.
i still don't know what "havin a roni' means though.
I still love When I was really little, I loved the "Go-Go's"...We Got the Beat. Awesome.
I was also a HUGE Debbie Gibson Fan. I can still probably sing all the words to "Electric Youth."
Sugar Sugar-The Archies
Anything by Green Day, Boyz 2 Men, Alliyah, TLC...
I also loved Michael Jackson and KNOTB...hahaha
James Taylor and my all time favorite compilation was Sun Jammin Summer Hits it is so badass!!
janet jackson..
the beach boys.. my friends & i made up so many dances to kokomo.. we even had a club. i still have one of the newsletters i made up for it around somewhere. it's hilarious to look through - the top stories were that 2 of the members were getting over a cold. exciting stuff!!
in first grade one of my friends had a "Poison" jean jacket.. she offered to make me a tape. i told her it was ok...
I remember dubbing my friend's older brother's copy of "Blood Sugar Sex Magic" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 7th grade. My mom wouldn't let my have it b/c of the "explicit" sticker on it. Still love them.
I loved CCR when I was a kid! (Still do, :)>>>)
I HATED Van Halen - they made me cry. :'(
Van Halen still make me cry.
I used to love "Walking on Sunshine". AND I STILL DO.
Sugar Sugar-The Archies
always a classic!

i love Poison!!!
to add to the mix - call me a dork but, i'm a big fan of movie theme music (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and my all time favorite - Jurassic Park, the music is so sweet - just takes you away...)
I still listen to a lot of my favorites from my teens. I think my musical taste got stuck somewhere in the 90s...I haven't liked many new bands since about 2002. Green Day, Silverchair, Metallica, Nirvana, Live....
I was listening to Green Day's "Dookie" CD in my car for almost 2 weeks until I took it out yesterday. :P Back then they just sang about smoking pot and masturbating...they've gotten all political now. *sigh*
When I was really little, I loved the "Go-Go's"...We Got the Beat. Awesome.

Belinda Carlisle wasn't in "The Bangles," was she?
When I was a kid my sister and I would listen to my mom's 45s...my favourites were "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany and "Karma Chameleon" by Boy George. Those songs always take me back!
