Feel free to add any other info/facts you think might help your person put together the best package for you!
*GENERAL EXCHANGE GUIDELINES*
1. You must have been active on the forums for at least 6 months OR have 1,000 posts. If you've been here a while you're more likely to send out your package.
2. Don't flake on your partner, just like you wouldn't want your partner to flake on you. If you're unsure whether you'll have time/money to get a package together, don't sign up.
3. Bring it! Don't send out something crappy!
4. Homemade and/or store bought goodies are welcome.
5. This is an ALL VEGAN exchange.
^ Yep that is the 1 thing I learned last time if not shipping in the US (If you live here)... ship light stuff!
Just get priority mail boxes! They don't go by weight!
Just get priority mail boxes! They don't go by weight!
They do if you send international.
I had a flat rate box for sending to NZ; the difference with those boxes for international (other than the price difference!) is that there's a weight limit.
how's the "stuff i want" and "stuff i have" thing going to work out?
I guess I thought it could be handy for ideas is all.
If anyone's concerned about weight/postage etc feel free to say you're not up for international shipping.
Apologies to anyone I put on the wrong list, I made the original list just from whoever had posted in the poll thread and didn't get round to going back and checking everyone's posts to make sure you said yes or not : /

hmmmm never heard of these... only been to the post office a few times lol and it intimates me for some reason :/ i will have to ask my gma lol... i have no prob with international shipping just next time i know not to send 3 quarts of flavored soy milk to germany lol, tho i'm sure algae enjoyed them :)
you probably could send your quarts of soymilk via flat rate! :)
I'd have no choice but to ship internationally, because I'm pretty sure none of the VWers who are interested in this exchange are from Australia. And as far as I know, we don't have flat rate boxes.

the weight limit for the small box is 4lbs, but the one for the medium/large is 20lbs - but quite expensive - but you can barely get anything in the small box - it was teeny tiny.

I really really did enjoy them! And they're definitely not available here! It was so sweet of you. But oh, I felt so sorry for you when I thought of you going to the p.o. and discovering how expensive it is to ship heavy things. Lesson learned, at least...

a) this realllllly doesn't have to cost a lot. If you don't want to ship internationally, that's completely fine. Your package can be homemade, thrifted, re-gifted, whatever - it doesn't have to be lots of store bought things
b) despite whatever reservations/anxieties we alllll have, everyone always puts together amazingly thoughtful lovely gift exchange packages that are so gratefully received!
c) sending/receiving cookies in the mail is fun, y'know - get into it! : )

Guess I'd better do this thang. ;D I've just read all of your lists to get ideas.
I wish to state first and foremost that I do not like things that are overly sweeeeet.
Favourite candy/treat: I don't usually eat candy, so surprise me?
Favourite colour: blue-green, blues and greens
Favourite animal: I love cats
Favourite cookie: I haven't tried that many kinds... nutty/spicy things are good, and I loves me some berries
I am allergic to and/or hate these flavours: no known allergies... hate dried fruit in things (except for trail mix/muesli), hate white 'chocolate' and black licorice
If I could I would bath in these flavours: raspberry, lime, hazelnoot, mocha... and just to mention again that all nutty and spicy things are good
Items/ingredients I wish I could find in my area but can't: fancy chiles, perhaps canned, dried or powdered?? just not available in NZ! anything to do with almond milk, it's just too expensive here, but I get that it'd be expensive to ship, too
Items/ingredients I have available locally which others might be interested in: there really aren't many specialised vegan foodstuffs in NZ, sorryyyy
Favourite scent: spring flowers, particularly freesia
I am international/am prepared to ship internationally: yarp!
Ok, fine, you've convinced me. :) Sorry if I missed this part, but is there a definite theme? Or are regional things and cookies just guidelines?
Favourite candy/treat: Chocolate, coffee, caramel, nuts, spicy things (both chili spicy and cinnamon/nutmeg/etc. spicy), fruity things, peanut butter...pretty much all of it.
Favourite colour: Blue, green, silver
Favourite animal: vizsla (breed of dog), owls, lizards, tigers
Favourite cookie: All of them. Maybe gingersnaps if I had to pick just one favorite. Also peanut butter cookies, oat cookies, anything chocolate, biscotti, macaroons...yeah, all of them.
I am allergic to and/or hate these flavours: um...caraway seeds...
If I could I would bath in these flavours: pineapple, mango, peanut butter, coffee, spicy flavors, chocolate
Items/ingredients I wish I could find in my area but can't: I can't get canned pumpkin. Also, maraschino cherries are pretty hard to find/expensive here. Same with chipotle or habanero things.
Items/ingredients I have available locally which others might be interested in: Australian "bush tucker" ingredients (wattleseed, lemon myrtle, macadamias, etc). I can also get a lot of unusual Asian and European ingredients. And my husband roasts coffee.
Favourite scent: tropical fruit scents, coffee
