*GENERAL EXCHANGE GUIDELINES*
1.  You must have been active on the forums for at least 6 months OR have 1,000 posts.  If you've been here a while you're more likely to send out your package.

2.  Don't flake on your partner, just like you wouldn't want your partner to flake on you.  If you're unsure whether you'll have time/money to get a package together, don't sign up.

3.  Bring it!  Don't send out something crappy!

4.  Homemade and/or store bought goodies are welcome.

5. This is an ALL VEGAN exchange.

OMFG YAAAY!

My package from Heli is the coolest late birthday present ever! And the timing is just perfect, because I'm just now able to eat solid foods again (and how!).... and what a nice surprise to get a package from my darling Vegan Bull Sister!

There were two fancy little baggies of mocha chocolate-dipped hazelnut biscotti, which are just unspeakably scrumptious. I hope there'll be a few left by the time I take photos of everything, hehehe....There's a little bottle of cappuccino liqueur in a cute lil' kete bag, and The Voluptuous Vegan, which makes a frickin' great addition to my little collection. Then there's a panoramic photo of NZ's Southern Alps which is just damn gorgeous. She also made me a sweet necklace with glassy-looking green and amber beads and pretty leaf charm! And there was a very sweet note in a little card with pretty NZ birdies on it.  :)
OhOhOh, and last but not least, feijoa jelly!!!!! I haven't even tried it yet (though I was tempted to just dig in with my fingers, I resisted), because I was so excited and I wanted to post right away.

:)>>>
Oh thank You, my dear VBS!

Thanks again CW, love it all!

You're most welcome, dear!
I wound up being rushed to send of Your package on a Friday afternoon, so I forgot to include a note... Just wanted to let You know that the blackberry preserves are from wild-growing blackberries in Our fields. ;)b So glad You enjoyed it all!

I think that is one of the reasons we like to have vw'ers that have been on here awhile do the exchanges.....

using the same 'rules' that have been used for every exchange for the last few years, the criteria is 1,000 posts or six months on the forum and he's been a member for over two years.

Everyone has definitely confirmed that their packages have been posted, so hopefully in the next couple of days the last few will arrive and then I can relax.

AWESOME package heli/cw! Can't wait to see some pics!

Shell, Vegan Brunch arrived in the mail today!  Again, thank you so much!  I can't wait to make something from it.

It was a little funny, because I had ordered some books for my baby, which also came from the UK and arrived today.  There were 3 book packages held together with a rubber band, which I assumed were the 3 books I ordered for him, so I was surprised to find something for me. :) So I'm still waiting on another kids' book, but oh well.

And there was a present for Gary... ps sorry for the dark photos, my stupid camera wouldn't flash.

I am truly sorry it took me this long to take my turn at show & tell. ;) Bad Heli.

A lovingly penned note, some fabulously fragrant dukkah (which I look forward to tasting when I get some worthy bread), spiced almonds, orange-raspberry thumbprint cookies, wattleseed-hazelnut biscotti, dried chipotles and piquins, chile seeds (woohoo! roll on Spring!), a cute wee notebook, and the sweetest kitteh-face painting, in my favourite colours, too!.. and - in the middle - a yummy look'n recipe for refried beans (using yummy chiles).

Thank ye again pg, 'twas a thrill to receive your goodies. :-*

*ahem* I mean it didn't arrive and you really should post another one full of the same amazingness you put in the first ;)

It's all on facebook but anyways.....

So a list of everything:

a lovely handwritten note IN PURPLE!!!!  which I did read before I opened everything so that kind of gave stuff away but made it all even better!
A fantastic hat made by mirrya's twin - excellent.  The only winter hat I have is a floppy one that comes off in the stupid Wellington wind - this one fits perfectly (as in the photo!)
a matching scarf made by mirrya twin2 endangered species chocolate bars - on plain dark chocolate, and one with blueberries - sounds yummy
an odwalla chewy nut bar
an odwalla chocolate chip peanut bar
2 primal strip packets - 1 texas BBQ and 1 thai peanut
a package of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies - which are delicious - N & I have already had one each - yum!
some cool monkey bag clips - which I didn't mention but we need some of these so great!
some lovely dark purple nail varnish - I always keep my toenails painted so this is great AND it's a partciular shade of purple I don't have!! (which is quite amazing in itself)
a large butterfly cookie cutter - awesome!
a flower scrubbing brush and holder - I love it!
a jar of queso - I've never had queso before and am so looking forward to it.  I have said to Niall we'll have to save it for a special nacho night dinner so we can really savour it.
a lovely butterfly plant stake...just need to decide which plant to use it for....possibly my plant on my desk at work because that will need one soon and then I'll get to see it all the time
a bouncy English guard - to remind me of home!
a purple butterfly wind chime - when I opened that N asked 'how did they know we wanted one of them?'....so something that we've been wanting to get but not got round to - psychic mirrya!
some non-barky nooch!!!  again to be used for special meals so we can savour it properly
AND Vegan on the Cheap - I so nearly bought this for myself recently and oww will tell you that I have been wanting this so much and have been raving about it.

I love everything so so much.  Thank you, you've been so generous.

And there was a present for Gary:

ps sorry for the dark photos, my stupid camera wouldn't flash.

I'm so happy that everything arrived safely and that Gary loves her box!  Maybe she smelled my cats on it because one of mine played in that box too while I was putting everything together.  I should've wrote in the note that there's probably cat hair crocheted in the scarf because they kept trying to lay on it while I was working on it.

ha, that makes the scarf even more fantastic!

holy hell that's a lot of stuff!  Whoa, way to show us up, Mirrya!
haha, awesome awesome package, and so 'just right' for Shell!

And yes, I vouch that email discussions on whether to by Vegan on the Cheap or not have indeed taken place.

Sorry.. :>  I get excited during gift exchange while trying to find things to match what people like.

So..it seems like i'm highjacking this thread...

I got so excited yesterday because I had a postal slip in my mailbox telling me I had a package in the rental office.  I immediately start thinking..."Yay, my package is here"...but then had the disappointment in finding out it was some makeup I ordered that wasn't supposed to have arrived until next week.  :'(

I know I've already thanked you mirrya, but just wanted to say thanks again.  We have polished off the cookies - so so delicious, and I treated myself on Friday and made pizza with non-barky nooch sauce on it....it really is so much better than the non-barky stuff.
I have ear marked 3 recipes from VOTC to make this week.
I had the nutty odwalla bar yesterday - so yummy!
Seriously everything is great <3

PG - yay, that you got VB already!  Hope you love it as much as I do.

How could I not love a cookbook that includes peanut butter waffles?!   :hotforyou: (I haven't tried them yet, but very much looking forward to it.  I've made the gingerbread waffles and pumpkin pancakes so far and both were delicious...husband and baby approved as well).

oh yeah...those gingerbread waffles  :hotforyou:

hmm, don't think I've reviewed those yet....
