Apparently jeanacorina needs some help getting Josh's attention so her friends her at vegweb need to get on the ball and on his case. Maybe we could write some poetry for him or some a limerick or SOMETHING. Poor jeanacorina needs help! Lets see now...
Poor Jeanacorina been waiting,
She's past the time of just dating,
So Josh act the man,
Get on with the plan,
Then all Vegweb can start celebrating!
That's so cute! Someone has to read this for them on their wedding day! ;)
Printerguy, you're awesome. I wish Josh visited vegweb so he'd randomly come across that poem!
Oh, well... maybe MDVegan will drop some hints or something. Actually, when he found out he got a job last week, the first thing all his friends (not even MY friends, but his!) said after "congratulations" was "so when are you finally gonna propose?" So I don't think he needs hints.
Anything worth having is worth waiting for, right?
:)>>>
Thanks for the mood boost, Printerguy!
JC, I'm starting to think you should just buy a ring and propose to him :)
Maybe I should! I'm getting a bigger tax return anyway!
:P
However, I already thought of that, he told me he'd say no because he wants to do the proposin'.
:-X
At least you know that it's what he wants! That would be good enough for me!
Plus, if you wait, I'm sure he will come up with a super romantic way to propose!
My roommate is in a long distance relationship, and last time he came to visit, she found the ring box in his suitcase. She kept bugging him about it until finally he was just like "fine, will you marry me?" Heh, I wish she had been patient because I'm sure it would have been much better!!
aw this is really sweet. I can't wait to hear the news that he's proposed :)
Srsly, Josh, you gotta get on it.
I'm with the idea of a proposal being worth waiting. My boyfriend and I always talked/talk about marriage. I'm hoping that, if we get married, we'll, uh, stop with the marriage talk for a while first so the proposal can feel like a proposal. I know it's probably more equal or whatever for it to be a mutual agreement all along, but where's the fun in pragmatism?
I'm with the idea of a proposal being worth waiting.
Oh, I agree wholeheartedly! I've been waiting 5 years. I'm a very patient person.
I'm just on a kick because everybody around me is either getting married, or they are married and they're pregnant.
Last night we ran into a friend in the supermarket, and he told us he's proposing to his girlfriend on Sunday. He's always been the stereotypical bachelor-for-life, then he met this girl and they're perfect for each other. They've been together less than two years. Imagine the look I gave Josh when we got in the car.
He said "Look, when I propose it'll be the best proposal ever, and you'll say to all your friends 'THAT was why it took him so long, it was the best proposal ever!'"
So, I said "Okay, a proposal that takes five years to plan.... are you waiting for one of those centennial flowers to bloom or something?"
He's the greatest guy in the world.... but boy does he think about things for a loooooong time before he does them.
::)
Yeah, I think the best thing to do is back off. The more you pressure him, the less he'll want to ask. It sucks, but I think it's true. Just try to be happy and work on the relationship you have NOW instead of the one you want in the future... (Sorry about the unsolicited advice!)
I hope this is true and really what else can you do. I have a friend here who is going through the same experience she wants to get married but he keeps putting it off. You know to me it doesn't really matter. Marriage is a committment two people make to each other. Whether they really have a paper from some government office doesn't make them any more secure in that committment. As long as both sides can agree on this.
i put two and two (threads) together. i know why you wanna get married!! oooooooooooo!!!! : )
LOL! No... well, okay.... maybe a little.
^-^
Actually, I want to get married because I want to start a family sometime in the next couple of years. Which, does involve the other reason... just a smidge.
:-*
hehe. both good reasons. : )

Ha ha, I thought the same thing. ;)
So Josh is working out what to say,
To make the engagement a special day.
Well I have a suggestion,
Just pop the big question,
Before poor JeanaCorina turns grey!
Printerguy, you have some serious talent.
