I went to the store early and roads were pretty slick here. Thankfully here in rural PA not much traffic out.
Usually I will cruise about 40 when no traffic.
Going into town I got stuck behind mr brakes doing 20 mph. 10 miles from my house to town all down hill. The guy should of been shot for thinking he could drive today. People like that cause accidents.

In South Carolina, this is our first snow since early last year. It is a heavenly sight on our street, so peaceful. Also, it is my cat Sylvia's first snow. She loves it!

Yay snow day!! I am SO relieved because I was totally counting on having one and didn't go to the print studio yesterday to print my two lithographs. We were supposed to have a midsemester critique today and I wouldn't have been at all prepared! Whew! I am so lucky. Now I'll have to go print sometime this week... today I can catch up on some other work and maybe go sledding!! Woo! So happy :)

I did not head to work, six inches and the Williamsburg Br bike path wont be cleared for days. Supposed to snow all day, I live on a hill, it did not look pleasant out at 5:30am.

My school was not cancelled today and the roads are crap! Luckily I live right across the street from my college... I went to class, told the teacher two of my friends weren't going to make it... and he told the class we didn't have to stay! Awesome! I really didn't feel like being there.
The roads are sooo bad, I couldn't even walk down the sidewalk either. The school should have been closed, but I think they forgot to call in and then it was too late. haha. Its still snowing too!

Snow day here in Ga too! It was so beautiful coming down yesterday. It's practically all melted today but you know over here we will shut down everything for some snow.
I love these southern snow men. There always so small and have traces of mud and grass in them since we never get more than a couple of inches. Just throw a baseball cap on it and some sticks and you got a snow man. :)

What? Everyone else is getting snow but me. For once it is cold enough and staying cold long enough for snow to fly and stick around, and what do we have? CRYSTAL blue skies... lame.
But the cold winter sun is pretty, so I will stop complaining.

It's been in the negatives here, but we only have a small covering of snow, which is weird. Not that we have snow days, anyway. Yay for yours!
HOWEVER, I'm soon going back to the land of people freaking out/snow days when it's like 30, and 1/4 inch of frost.

Wanna know the worst thing about today as a snow day? I didnt even look outside before I was nearly ready to leave. Putting my boots on and I get a text from my boss "If the roads are bad stay home". I finish getting dressed, tromp down the steps and see like 6 inches of snow covering the back yard. Joy. Then I looked out the front.... the city hadn't even plowed! UGH
Luckily I can stay home, without pay of course. Unfortunately our snowblower has issues and didnt really run at all. So LB an I shoveled the deck, walkway, and entire driveway by shovel full. Oh man, I so do not need to exercise today, I already got mine in.

I wonder what it would take for me to get a snow day. Probably 2 feet of snow and the interstates shut down. Even then, I bet I'd be expected to charter a helicopter and get my ass to work. Not fair.

The kiddos had a snow day on the 9th, cuz we got 20 inches of snow in less than 24 hours! The streets are still not finished being plowed ( they went through only once), and we are still parking in the Municipal Centre lot, because of the snow emergency (no parking on city streets, and we don't have a driveway).
