Does anyone else get this anxiety about the weekend being over and Monday starting up again? I get this sometimes, not always..... it's annoying though. I don't like dreading Mondays :-\
Aren't you a stay at home mom?

nope....i go to school---> working on my masters and do very part-time work and I'm still breastfeeding (yay for breastpumps!).....i be a busy gal during the week.... :P
Does it help to think that while you're dreading Monday on a Sunday evening, we're already at work experiencing it on the other side of the world?
I think it's because on the weekends I soak up so much family time and am home and during the week i'm 'out in the world' so to speak, so it's such a relief and comfort to be home especially with yummy babies....i guess after being home all weekend, it's not easy to pull myself away....i'm guessing this is common with working parents and such.... ???

Yes....that is helpful actually.... thanks :)
i have them. but not cus im stressed about mondays.. im just wishing people would figure their shit out and clue me in. time's ticking away!
Yes. I get them, except, during my first year teaching I started calling it the "Sunday Spins." I don't know where that came from. I think it was because I felt like everything I had to do in the upcoming week was spinning around in my head as I laid in bed trying to fall asleep. I don't get them as badly now because I work part-time on the weekends too now. :-\ But yay! Only 2 more Mondays of school :) :w00t!:

I totally have a total rehearsal of every upcoming event going on in my head too....every little detail....but I think maybe some positive affirmations and some journaling might help if I just get it out on paper and don't have to do a play-by-play psyching myself out.... I will be taking class during the summer too, so I won't be having a break, so hopefully I will find a lasting solution for this anxiety ;)

well, ive been clued in. i'm so sick of this.
I work all day on saturdays, so my weekend is gone before I know it, sunday nights are hard for me
It's called "The Long, Dark Teatime of the Soul." Or so I've heard. I usually react by iron-cheffing something.
sundays kind of suck for me because our city buses stop running around 6 that day. :P so inconvenient.
I don't get nervous/anxious on Sunday nights, but I sometimes get depressed/sad....usually because I either dread work the next day or I am unhappy that the weekend is over....One note: if you stat dreading Monday and its only Friday, TIME TO GET A NEW JOB!!! :P
I am a stay at home mom, and also work part time nights and weekends. For me, I make sure Sunday night things are clean and prepped and organized for the week. That way monday morning there are no dirty dishes or laundry to do. Thats a plus. My husb and I also run down the callendar to see who has what when, so we are both on the same page with appointments and work schedules. We also spend time reminding our sons, who have autism, about their usual weekday schedule and routine, so they are less anxious because things are different on the weekends.
