For my English class, I'm doing a research paper on how veganism can help solve world hunger. I have some pretty good sources, but the more the merrier. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to what sources i should use? Thanks!!
If you haven't already, you might look at how terrible inefficient the meat/animal product industry is. You only get about 10% of the energy you put into "growing" and slaughtering a cow out in terms of meat. Instead of spending all that money and land on cattle, we could use the land to grow crops (which will provide food for more people than the cows which fed on that land and were slaughtered were anyway), and I believe you still save some money in labor costs, but the labor costs for cows versus plant crops might balance out.
Can you remote access your school's library? Most universities allow you to create an account to use their large cache of academic journals on your own computer. Then you can fully use Google Scholar. I find it much easier to use than most school library search engines.
I did a super quick Jstor search. Only returned three articles, and I only scanned them briefly, but it looks like these two might be somewhat useful--not sure what angle you're taking at it.

I found this one interesting, but not sure if it's useful or not.

If you want these but can't find them anywhere, and your school (for some ungodly reason) doesn't have a Jstor account, let me know and I can send you the pdfs.

John Robbins has a book called "Diet for a New World. May all Be Fed".
Your topic is what the entire book focuses on.....and it has great recipes in the back!
You might also try Omnivore's dilemma... I haven't read it, but a friend recommended it when I told them about this thread.
