Baseball

My husband and I have always been huge baseball fans, but with the 08 season here..we are now questioning whether we should even watch baseball since it's basically catching and throwing pieces of leather..in pieces of leather. Does anyone else want to share their opinions on this subject (I guess football would be the same story)? Leather is flesh..no matter what it's used for.. :-\
Any other vegans play/watch sports (baseball, football..) that use leather? I know it's all about drawing the line, and different people have different "lines," but it seems like this is a pretty cut and dry issue (leather is not at all vegan and is being used). I'm sure there are probably some pretty good leather substitute balls/gloves for playing..but watching it will always be the same. :-\
Meh. I still watch baseball. I love it too, and I really can't imagine that my not watching it is affecting veg-related change at all. I would be much more inclined to do things like request vegan-friendly food at stadiums and concession stands.
I even play on a local coed team with a leather baseball glove I have had for 10+ years, 'cause it't still in really good shape.
