This thread is for all things college and graduate-school related.
Are you currently attending? If you're a soon-to-be freshman, where did you get in? What's your major?
And, most importantly, how are you doing sweating out your finals? Ha!
i got into penn state, but im going to flagler (in st augustine, florida) where my sister goes. its closer to home and my parents said that maybe in 2 years i can transfer to penn state. i hope!
I went to Penn State and it was amazing. I miss it like crazy.
My bachelors is in Art History and after doing an internship at a large museum I figured out that art was more of a passion than a career for me. I got my masters in Higher Ed Administration and was a university administrator for a number of years. I recently became a certified yoga instructor and although I love what I do, I miss being intellectually stimulated at work everyday.
I'm considering going back to school to get a second masters to become a therapist or getting my docorate in Higher Ed Admin. Truth be told, I'm not actually sure what I want to do professionally. I kind of thought all the meditation I'd do in yoga would help me decide . . . not as of yet, lol!
Can't want to start my botany class next fall though! Woot! I honestly don't care if it's tons of work, I'm pretty sure I'll lurve it.
To what school are you planning to transfer? How many colleges even have good botony programs? I went to Humboldt (hence my screen name) for botany. I think that was it for a good program in all of California.

I was born in State College, and it was assumed that I would go to PSU. I'm not, and I still feel that my mother believes I'm going to transfer.
I finally pulled my head out of my .... and applied to (and got accepted by) Bradley University. I will be majoring in International Studies.
I am so worried that I am going to fail. It has been nearly 10 years since I got my Associates. I am very worried about paying for it (but keep telling myself to get there first).
And, I am not crazy about the commute... but what can ya do?
Overall, I am very excited!

aw. :[ lol but if its not what you want, dont worry about anyone else's expectations.
It was what I wanted initially, but then I looked at out of state tuition and thought I should stay in GA. My parents keep telling me that if it's what i want to do, then they'll help me find a way to do it.
I feel very fortunate that my parents are willing to pay for my education. The deal is that I take out student loans now and as long as I graduate, they will pay the loans back. So I figured I'd not rack up a fortune for them unless we hit the big bucks on the lotto. Which we haven't.
I'm taking the LSAT on Monday and I AM SO NOT PREPARED!!! I was doing great at studying for a couple months..but since the weather has been so nice out...I've really neglected it!!!! Argh, I forsee having to retake it this fall. :(
Put on some shades and study in the sun! Go to a park or pool with something cool to drink and make an afternoon of it.
graduated... art degree=no job. haha!
But at least I might get hired at a health food place. that has its perks.
