I think DH is going as Jesus (that way he can still wear flip-flops!). He sure is easy to please.... flip-flops and pizza and he is a happy happy man!!
I'm thinking about going as the devil?? :hrmm:
What about YOU???
I have NO IDEA what i'm going to be. I usually decide, but then change my mind right before i leave for whatever i'm doing (i think i might actually not trick or treat this year. for the first time, crazy!)
Batman. :D
lauren, you should be Mary Magdalen!!
I'm going to be working....my coworkers are major Trekkies, so I have to match them...I told them if they provide the costume, I'll wear it.
I have discussed this in "many a thread", so I'm sorry for repeating, but I'm going to be some sort of weird fairy and Andy is going to be a penguin.
This should be the thread we all post our Halloween pictures in.....
am I going to sound completely stupid if I ask what 'being' something for Halloween means? Like, do you all go out in the street and knock on doors for treats like children do, or do you have to dress up for work or ?
My friend Steph has an annual Halloween party - we just dress up and party all night.

Oww~
Not a stupid question at all! Some people dress up at work, others go to Halloween house parties, some Trick-or-Treat on their own (and some with their kids). Other places have events going on in the community. Here on the beach where I'm at gets crazy on Halloween with EVERYONE in costume running in and out of bars/clubs and just general milling about.
oh alrighty then... : )
I mean, of course we know that halloween exists, but we'll have, like maybe one kid knock on the door every two years around here? It's totally not a big deal, which is great, because I'm very much not a fan.
I just wondered what you childless folks were doing talking about dressing up! : )
Uh, I'm going trick or treating haha.. am I lame or am I lame? My friends and I are excited. I have never not went trick or treating.
I'd hate to spoil the party, but I have to ask...
Am I the only person who really can't stand the whole Halloween bit? I find settling on a costume to be entirely too much pressure and I hate the attention that costumes bring. I've been known to avoid parties if I think I'll have to do the costume thing :-\
(When I was in HS, I was known for dressing kind of hippie-ish and in lots of Black. So for Halloween I borrowed my mom's khakis and a polo shirt and wore SNEAKERS (which I never did). That was kind of funny. I got a lot of comments.)

I don't understand what you mean.. no one puts pressure on anyone, it's just for being silly and getting free candy (now that I'm vegan, I just do tradesies with my siblings and it all works out).
Do you just mean that you already dressed not 'normal' and so there was no reason?
I always dressed in black, but I love Halloween.
sorry, I just wanted to know what you meant :)

no.

Some people dress up at work
and some people's work are assholes and say that dress up is required and then when you show up in costume you're the only one..
I hateeee when people say things about dressing up and then dont do it.
Errrr. My friend did that trick or treating last year, but there were 2 others dressed up (and i was crammed into my friends old little girls devil costume that did not fit me at all) so it wasnt too weird.
I think i'll just be hannah montana. I love dressing up as her. <3 And i have hannah montana clothes for any kind of weather thrown at me. (stupid florida with its sometimes freezing halloweens and sometimes burning hot ones)
I think I want to have a costume party. So I am contemplating either Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas or Mrs. Lovett (in her picnic outfit).
My luck? No one will show. And I will miss the Boston Veg Fest for nothing. :/
I'm going to be counting inventory. Just like I did last Halloween. I'm not bitter about it or anything.
Can you still dress up to do your inventory?

LOL, I should wear my Beast costume (from Beauty and the Beast). I can only imagine what my boss would say.
:-D
Do it! The fact that you have a Beast costume is totally turning me on....
Was Katie Belle?
She sure was. Man, that was forever ago. We went to a Halloween party at my sister's husband's family's house. I karaoked Baby Got back. Such a fun night! Well, with the exception of wearing a hot costume (temperature wise).
