I think DH is going as Jesus (that way he can still wear flip-flops!). He sure is easy to please.... flip-flops and pizza and he is a happy happy man!!
I'm thinking about going as the devil?? :hrmm:
What about YOU???
I'd hate to spoil the party, but I have to ask...
Am I the only person who really can't stand the whole Halloween bit? I find settling on a costume to be entirely too much pressure and I hate the attention that costumes bring. I've been known to avoid parties if I think I'll have to do the costume thing :-\
(When I was in HS, I was known for dressing kind of hippie-ish and in lots of Black. So for Halloween I borrowed my mom's khakis and a polo shirt and wore SNEAKERS (which I never did). That was kind of funny. I got a lot of comments.)
I don't understand what you mean.. no one puts pressure on anyone, it's just for being silly and getting free candy (now that I'm vegan, I just do tradesies with my siblings and it all works out).
Do you just mean that you already dressed not 'normal' and so there was no reason?
I always dressed in black, but I love Halloween.
sorry, I just wanted to know what you meant :)
I totally get that it's self-induced pressure. I just can never think of anything good, and I don't like feeling like I have to try. It's just... not my thing. (And I don't even like candy too much. Such a party pooper.)
Also, I dressed what I thought was pretty normal. But it was just different enough that if I went all out "normal" (esp. at my school which was pretty preppy) people noticed.
Maybe that's fair. It was more just like switching crowds for the day.
And sorry for missing your comment, OWW. Yeah, I'm totally with you.

Alright :)
I wish I didn't like candy.
Life would be so much simpler!
Mary Janes are awesome, but I can never find them during halloween time for some reason.
I'm very flat chested. One year I layered lots of padded bras I found on major clearance and went as Marilyn Monroe (in a sweater and pants). I went around getting people to feel me up. I had so many layers of padding I couldn't feel them touching me.
I'm going to be.... working.
Joining the CK club.
My friends are having a party. I got a new sheet set so I'm going to make a cave man costume out of my old leopard print on. that and today a big branch fell out of our tree from the storm so I get to make a nice club.

Wear a costume to work. For realz.

I was supposed to be a band kid at the Vanderbilt football game...but I got booted from the list. I don't know what I'll dress up as. Our neighborhood is always inundated with kids who do not live in our neighborhood because some of our neighbors are known for giving out whole candy bars. A lot of the adults who answer the door dress up, as do their pets. It's not unusual.
What do your guys give out for Halloween? I got some Play Dough to hand out. I told my mom we should do skittles and stuff like that.
I wanted to be carrie on prom night, drenched in pig's blood..
well, not actual pig's blood of course...but It's not working out
So. I think I'm gonna be a skeleton bride instead.

Sadly my face and hands need to be visible, the rest of me needs to be clothed in a professional formal clothes in a plain dark colour, and I'm going to be in a very public situation in front of a large crowd and tv cameras at something not Halloween themed. I cannot, alas. My job does not allow for costumed fun.
I'm intrigued, Theo, I can't think of any event on the 31st that you might be translating for...
And I'm afraid I can't tell you :P Interpreter ethics = fun.
(Really I'm a secret agent and just trying to throw you off the scent with this whole interpreting thing)
If you hate Halloween I love it .,This is the time when we gather our friends it is like an reunion to us.,This the day we spent our much happiness with my friends.,

Devil.
First time as a non-dorky costume.
Mikey was a pumpkin I didn't dress up, maybe next year I will.
We didn't do much trick or treating, visited a couple of places, he is still a little too young for it. But I kept him dressed up as a pumpking for the trick or treaters that came to my door, which was three sets. I gave out little boxes of juice.
Awe hes adorable!
I also wound up being a wizard banana ballerina for about 10 minutes.
My costume changed more times than that though. Haha.
