Yo, Vegweb, it's gift exchange time! ALL PACKAGES SHOULD BE POSTED!
It seems it's that time again...
Post in this thread if you're keen on participating in a gift exchange with your fellow vegwebbers.
Theme/dates to be decided - any ideas welcome.
Standard guidelines apply - don't ask to participate if you have fewer than 1,000 posts or have not been actively posting on the forums for at least six months. Stick around, get to know people a bit more, and join in next time.

*GENERAL EXCHANGE GUIDELINES*
1. You must have been active on the forums for at least 6 months OR have 1,000 posts. If you've been here a while you're more likely to send out your package.
2. Don't flake on your partner, just like you wouldn't want your partner to flake on you. If you're unsure whether you'll have time/money to get a package together, don't sign up.
3. Bring it! Don't send out something crappy!
4. Homemade and/or store bought goodies are welcome.
5. This is an ALL VEGAN exchange.
Is biscoff kind of like speculaas?
also, I knew it would be amazing, but that package really is impressive. As is HH's skill at categorising/labelling all the sweet treats! haha. Incredible.
What an epic gift exchange this has been!
Hopefully the last few arrive soon! : )
Yes, apparently they are (or are like?) speculaas. Stolen from wikipedia:
"A few years ago a new version of speculoos was formulated by making it into a paste. It won an award as a new invention. The recipe uses speculaas as the main ingredient, but has a few other ingredients. It has become known as Speculoospasta. The recipe was sold to Lotus Bakeries, that also bought the patent, but was declared void in 2011. Today there are many companies that make different variations of speculoospasta."
check that out. Lotus bakeries makes the biscoff spread, so I'm guessing that's exactly what it is.
yeah, hh is super organized. I just threw stuff in the box, and she goes and categorizing and arranging and labeling things. i have a kitchen she could organize...
In case y'all don't use it - you can label everything in PowerPoint (if you have Microsoft), select all, and save as an image. It flattens the layers and makes a single image you can save as a jpg.
I woke up this morning and realized again how. much. stuff. I received from fb. My weekly Sunday hour-long phone convo (epic length for me) with a friend was two hours this morning. It had to be longer because I was telling him all about the package (he was enamored by the picture of the pb on facebook) and that took a while, and he had to explain a bunch of chemistry to me so I could understand an experiment he wanted to do (he's working on a PhD in math-y / science-y stuff). Mojito cookies make learning chemistry better. Current students take note.
Those cookies were so good
so good

is that how you labeled everything? that is awesome idk how :(
Yep. It works in 2010 and 2007; I'm not sure about 2003.
After you add all the text boxes and shapes you want over a picture:
select all
right-click (while cursor is over picture)
"Save as Picture..." It will take you to the save box.
It's set to save as a png, but I don't know what that is, so I use the "Save as Type" drop down menu to save it as a jpg.

I tried it this afternoon.
PEOPLE, BUY BISCOFF SPREAD
You'll thank me or curse me.
you know who needs to know about this? sb.
I am now curious about biscoff spread. When I first saw it I was like, ew that sounds gross. But now I am intrigued.
biscoff and the spread are def on my radar now... so you have to order it online?

I should have sent him some! I can actually get it at the grocery store-by the peanut butter and stuff, on the bottom shelf. I didn't get hooked on it, but it is very intriguing.

maybe costplus world market?
Newest addition to my grocery list this week: BISCOFF
It's like cinnamon-y and slightly ginger snappish. The flavor reminds me of a really awesome graham cracker, but with a cookie texture.
My mom almost ate the entire bag >:( ... Now I'll just have to go back and get more ::)
Biscoff are soooo yummy! I didn't know there was a spread though, I will have to look into finding it. It says on their site I can get the cookies and spread at World Market. I love World Market :)>>>
Here's a list of locations by state where you can buy Biscoff (in case any of you wanted to know): http://www.biscoff.com/DirectionsWEB/webcart_static.php?file=static_retail.html
