This week's newsletter is all about summer's favorite treat, Ice Cream! Now that we've tempted you with tales of ice cream, we figured we'd better not leave you out in the cold. We're giving away a copy of The Vegan Scoop, a gorgeous full color cookbook that's filled with more recipes for ice cream (and its accoutrements!) than you can shake a waffle cone at. Pregan I HATED ice cream - it was like the grossest thing ever to me.
Now, I am falling in love with the homemade "ice cream" made with frozen bananas and other fruit all blended up... it's like heaven on earth!
Ice Cream!!!!!!! I love it sooooo much! My favorite is the peanut butter zig zag by Soy Delicious! A good runner up is the blueberry cheese cake by them too! Yea ice cream!!!! Nom nom nom!
Oh! And don't forget about luscious homemade raw banana ice cream! I practically live on that stuff when I'm raw (like right now--so you know I have a bowl in my hand!!)
Ooo this is a tough one! I looooved the Purely Decadent Dulce de Leche, the peanut butter zig zag, and snickerdoodle, but I also love the Good Karma Rice Divine mud pie and carrot cake..and there are so many flavors I still haven't tried!

For a long time my favorite was Purely Decadent Mocha Almond Fudge. But then I discovered Rice Divine's Mud Pie. Sooooo good!

I love Luna and Larry´s Dark Chocolate Coconut Bliss. Actually, I love any rich dark chocolatey ice cream. Yum, yum!

AAArrrggghhh! Favorite, as in singular favorite?!? There aren't a lot of choices for me locally, so it'll have to be coconut milk Purely Decadent. Let's, see... cookie dough! No, mint chip! No, vanilla bean! Vanilla bean, final answer. For now.

I have tried lots of the vegan ice creams that are commercially available. Most of them taste like a barrel of chemicals, and I think are just disgusting. However, 365 brand of just plain old vanilla is excellent (especially with the hot fudge recipe from vegweb), but I didn't see it last time I went to whole foods...I don't live near a Trader Joes, but I was in Cleveland visiting a friend over the 4th of July, and I made her take me there...where I discovered the Cherry Chocolate Chunk, OMG! :)>>> Oh, and I did make a Mexican chocolate once...has a dash of cinnamon and cayenne for a kick :D ...that was pretty good too!
