ok, not like we really need another 'reasons to...' thread, but a couple of times recently I had a reason to be excited, not necessarily reason to smile and so maybe other people do too!
My RTBE: I just bought my very first car!!!!! I get to pick it up next week, so have a little while before I get to drive it but yay!!
mirrya's and my birthday is April 11, which makes us good luck apparently. :)

How did I not know we shared a birthday?....How cool!!! I must not be very observant or I have a very bad memory.
Mr. Sully-cat and I made it safely to NH. ;D
Attention all of you who have followed my journey out of Ohio and on to Oregon:
First - Let me say I'm thankful for all of your support. I love each of you!

Double-post...

Ya know, get my life moving again!!!

Is Mr. Sully the cat in your profile pic?
he is. He's my foofy opinionated wussy dolphin-leaping hunka hunka burnin meow.
I filled out an online job application today and got a call back for an interview half an hour later!!! ;D
Iono if this goes here or in Reasons to Brag, but whatever.
A couple of yrs ago I made contact with a fellow via Foundmagazine.com, who does subtitling for operas. We exchanged a few emails and that was all. I did say that if he needed any translations to let me know.
So today I got a translation job from a record company in Germany. Would I, could I, rush a translation of 3 typewritten pages of liner notes for a tango album? Which they need by Monday morning? Fee...a stonking 190 Euros!! I would, I could, and I have. Sweet goodness of life!! The text itself was the typical highflown verbose prose of newspapermen who fancy themselves writers in this part of Spain...including a sly suggestion that the journalist was the one who suggested the name for the album (the which permit me to doubt, but there.)
Holy halfnote, Batman--over 200 bucks US for less than an hour's work!!
Mind, I haven't been paid yet, and won't until Monday. But it will tide me over the three dead weeks of Easter, the local Fair, and the week in between rather nicely.
yayyyy!! congrats, yabbit!
excellent yabbit!!! I love how life throws an unexpected bone once in a while :)
yabbit & revy ~ Yay for monies and the job prospect!
That's awesome, Yabbit!! Congrat's indeed! :) And thank you for your support!! I keep restarting my email to you...I may just snailmail you. Get excited!
