Hair dying?

So, i often dye my hair pretty rainbowy colors. I use this brand Adore, and just found out it has collagen :-\ I was wondering if anyone knows of any cheap, good, animal friendly hair dye brands? (NOT manic panic, bleh, i hate manic panic) I get like a 4oz thing of Adore for 5 bucks. Eh.. Stupid hair dye
Yeahhh I probably should have gotten a job first and then dyed my hair :\
But I figure if nowhere will hire me, there's always Hot Topic, though I probably don't dress hardcore enough for them. However there is this lady who works the graveyard shift at the 24 hour grocery store and she always has crazy hair and has her ears stretched HUGE and has these weird skulls in them and a lot of tattoos. And she is a lady. Like a lot older than student age. 40s maybe.
So. My hairs yellow. I wanted a hair dye fix. So i was like. ooo i could do yellow streaks and just wash it out really fast so it would look like cool highlights. And instead i just like, got a handful of hair dye and put it all over, did it again. then i was like CRAP. And jumped in the shower. Washed it within a minute. ITS STILL YELLOW. I mean, it'll probably wash out fast.. but its yellow.
Hahaha.
I seriously should not be allowed to have hair dye.
My hair is being dyed blonde right now.
I'm hoping i dont dye it a pretty color again.
Dudee!! Raw hair dye smells like yum!!! Holy crapppp. I want to taste it but i know thats a bad idea.
I'm super excited, and think i'm totally getting rid of my old lameo hair dyes to replace with raw. Its neat. Its super thick like paste so its easy to use <3 I love when hair dye is like that.

Oh that makes sense. I was thinking it was like made of raw vegetables or something! That would have been cool.
I wish I worked in a place that would allow cool hair colors....working in finance in an uber-conservative company sucks hard. I'd go back to hot pink in a heartbeat.
The best dye I used was Ink Works by Paul Mitchell but, you can only get it from hairdressers. Have any of you tried "burning" the color into your hair? That's how we did it in the salon. (I have my comsmetology liscense and worked at a salon as an esthetician who occasionally didi hair) What you do is apply a small amount of the dye to dry hair and run a flat iron over it. It actually makes the color last longer. Be careful though because if you put to much dye on the hair it splatters hot dye on you.
My friend used to dye/iron her hair. She had a straightener just for that purpose. I did it when i had stripes, and they stayed a longggggggg time
I hear Special Effects is really good. It is vegan, lasts a pretty long time, and a lot of the colors fade well (like they fade to really pretty pastels from the pics I've seen) I"m gonna try it soooooon. I'm to old for these shenanigans but meh. Screw social constructs I want to be Colorful ~^_^~

I seriously cannot because of my job =/ I have orientation next week. I kind of want to ask right off the bat if its okay, but i'm like 90something percent sure its not okay (school board job, hmmph.) and i'd look like fail asking that right away. And i consider bright colors the only form of hair dye that matters, so i dont care about new boring colors on my head.
Buttt, i do have like, 2 weeks of christmas?!?! I COULD DO IT THE DAY AFTER ORIENTATION!! AHHHHHH. Because i've been meaning to re-bleach my hair anyways due to it being not as pretty and light as i like. (but i guess first i should find out when i start, heh.)

last time I dyed it pink, it started washing out right away, even though I kept it on for 15 hours (I kid you not).
this time I'm only keeping it on for probably an hour and I straightened it (heat).
the pink fade was on there for 4 weeks, maybe (can't recall).
it was nice because I had it when I visited my friends in Florida and went to a show on Valentines day. :)

I need to color my hair again too but, I'm just to lazy to do it. I bounce between black and red. I used to do green, blue, orange, purple, magents but, I guess I've toned down a little bit. I used to be the bleach queen but, I'm on this I need my hair to my waist one more time kick so the bleach is staying away from my hair for awhile.
